FY 2011 Budget Information
The budget information for Playmor's 2011 fiscal year has been sent to all owners. This information is provided each year and includes the budget, annual disclosures, the state of the community, and the direction the board will be taking to maintain our investments. Ed Roth Joins Playmor as Community Association Manager
Ed Roth joined Playmor as the new Community Association Manager in April. Ed has worked as a community association manager since the early 80s right here in San Diego. Ed holds professional designations in this industry and is very involved in work groups that represent associations such as ours. Ed looks forward to using his years of experience to help our community work through the issues of deferred maintenance, and will lead many projects as we make enhancements to the property. When Ed is not at work, he enjoys time with his wife, two cats and a puppy. He and his wife recently just completed the La Jolla Half Marathon. He says he will use this energy to be visible to the community by frequently being out on the property, determining areas of improvement, and actively meeting all of you. Please take a moment to say hello and to make him feel welcome.

Playmor Bernardo HOA - Office Manager Opening
Ruth Marshall is no longer with the association. The Playmor Board of Directors is currently interviewing for an onsite property manager. If you know someone or are interested in this position, please forward a resume to board@playmor.org. The office is open during business hours and if you have administrative matters you can reach Paige Hunt by calling the office at (858) 451-3082. On behalf of the board, Linda Steverson is coordinating all projects until the position is filled. The board hopes to fill this position during the next month.

Christmas Lights / Holiday Decorations
The community is asked to take down outdoor holiday lights and decorations by January 31, 2010. We hope everyone enjoyed the year end celebrations with family and friends.

Playmor Office
The Playmor office is completed. Final inspections and finish carpentry is being completed during the first part of January. We anticipate the office being back on the Playmor property toward the middle of the month. The Manager and Administrative Assistant are working offsite until this work can be completed. Ruth and Paige can be reached directly at (858) 451-3082. All office phone messages, incoming and drop-box mail are being retrieved daily. The Maintenance staff is working on site and can be reached by calling (858) 451-6815.

Thanksgiving Holiday - Playmor Office Closed

Happy Halloween!!! Playmor Halloween Event
The Playmor community will be hosting a Halloween event on Saturday, October 31, 2009, from 3-6pm. Please join us for some fun family activities prior to Trick or Treating. The event will be located at the Playmor playground located in the southwest corner of the property. Everyone is encouraged to dress up. Playmor adds Facebook Contact
It has been challenging to keep the owners of Playmor current with important information. This will not replace any of the current mediums of communication. However, for owners who use Facebook you will receive updates and important communications to your Facebook Wall. To add Playmor as a "Friend" just click on Search in Facebook (www.facebook.com) and type Playmor HOA, you will then see the link for the Playmor HOA community. We understand that this medium is not for everyone, but want to provide alternatives to those who prefer electronic communication.

Playmor Building Light Replacement Project - Completed
Playmor has recently upgraded the light covers on all buildings. This was done to replace the older "yellow" deteriorating covers and provide better lighting for safety at night.

Playmor Playground - Completed
The Playmor playground has been completely re-done. The playground is located in the southwest corner of the property. Thank you Linda Steverson and the Playmor staff for their countless hours of time to complete this project. Linda has donated many hours of her personal time to complete the restoration of equipment, paint the wood around the playground, and helped to purchase the additional equipment. We hope that owners and their children enjoy this area.

Monday, October 12 - Playmor Office Holiday Closure / Trash Delay
The Playmor staff will be off on Monday, October 12, 2009 in observance of the Columbus holiday. This holiday will cause a one day delay in trash pick up. Please do not place your receptacles at he curb until after 5pm on Tuesday, October 13th.

Rancho Bernardo Neighborhood Watch and Emergency Preparedness Program
Did you know that the City of Rancho Bernardo has a Neighborhood Watch and Emergency Preparedness Program? The Playmor community is in District B of the 7 district system. This program's purpose is to promote neighborhood awareness, safety information, communication of crimes, crime prevention, and help the community with Emergency Preparation. This program is looking for Block Captains that will help weave this program into the Playmor community. Welcome New Board Members!!!
The Board would like to welcome two new members John Auker and Bill Feenan. John Auker will replace Allen Hogan and continue with his term through November of 2010. Bill Feenan will replace Jonathan Daitch and continue with his term through November 2009. Todd Clark, Linda Steverson, and Susan Joseph will run again for another term in the upcoming election. Once the November election is complete the current board will elect officers for the following 12 months. The Board and Staff would like to thank Allen Hogan and Jonathan Daitch for their contributions to the community.

Website Update - HOA Improvements

The HOA Improvements section of the website details the status of the projects that are planned and completed in the Playmor community. It is a goal of the Playmor Board of Directors to increase communication to the community about how the monthly dues are being used to beautify and preserve our homes.

Playmor Bernardo HOA Staff will be off on Monday, May 25, 2009 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The holiday will delay trash & recycle pick up until Wednesday, May 27. Please do not place trash receptacles at the curb until 5pm Tuesday, May 26.

This is a great opportunity for you to throw out items that may be around your house or garage! If any items are in good condition, we encourage you to donate to a local charity. The number for AMVETS pick-up service is (800) 795-8387. There will be a forty yard roll off container placed in the driveway next to the tennis courts. You may dispose of any household items except Hazardous waste, car parts, or electronic equipment.

Playmor Pools and Jacuzzis Update
The updates to the Playmor Pools and Jacuzzis are in the final stages of completion. The pools and jacuzzis are expected to be re-opened between March 10-15.

Playmor Pools and Jacuzzis Closure
Effective December 19, 2008, the Playmor Pools and Jacuzzis will be closed. This closure will allow Playmor to make changes to be in compliance with federal and state rules regarding drains and pool filtration systems. Reminder – The use of skateboards, roller blades, scooters, and bicycles is permitted in complex driveways only between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., or 30 minutes after sunset, which ever occurs first. Their use anywhere else in the common area is prohibited at all times.

Window Ledge - The Board of Directors is asking that Home Owners not put plants on top of the window ledges in front of their houses. The water drainage damages the wood and stucco wall below. Home owners who have not removed plants by October 1, 2008 will be sent a letter requesting removal. Thank you for your cooperation on this as it helps to preserve our building life.

FY09 HOA Monthly Increase - The Board of Directors of the Playmor Bernardo Homeowners' Association has approved its FY2009 Association Budget with a dues rate of $385 per member per month. This began with the payment due July 1, 2008.
